Heavy rains caused a portion of 232nd Dr. to sink and created large cracks in the pavement in the Barton area. The project will install a deep patch of pavement and improve drainage capacity.

Why
To ensure reliable connection to OR 224 and OR 212 and reduce ongoing maintenance costs.
Schedule
The county began the design phase in spring 2019. Construction will begin in October 2021, during the daytime hours. Construction is expected to be complete by January 2022.
Traffic impacts
The road will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m., Monday, Nov. 29 to 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 31 between OR 224 and OR 212. The detour will route traffic to OR 224 to Amisigger Road to OR 212. During the road closure, access will be provided for local traffic only. The road will be closed to all traffic at the work site, including emergency vehicles.
While no weekend or night work is planned at this time, it might be needed depending on weather and other conditions.
