Information for Voters

There will be a Special Election on Nov. 7, 2023. This is not a county-wide election. If you reside in the cities of Gladstone, Molalla, or West Linn; the Aurora, Hoodland, or Riverdale fire districts, or the North Clackamas, Silver Falls, or West Linn–Wilsonville school districts; you are one of 175,000 voters that should expect a ballot in the mail. 

Oct. 17 is the Voter Registration Deadline for this election. Visit oregonvotes.gov to register to vote or update your information. For your convenience, our office will be open until 7 p.m. on Oct. 17.

Ballots will be mailed out to all eligible voters on Oct. 18. Ballots must be postmarked or received at an Official Ballot Drop Site by 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 7, 2023.

Important Dates

Oct. 12, 2023Voters' Pamphlets will begin arriving in households.
Oct. 17, 2023Voter Registration Deadline. Last day to register to vote for this election. Clackamas County Elections will be open 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Oct. 18, 2023Clackamas County Elections will mail ballots to voters. If you have not received your ballot by October 25 please contact our office to Request a Replacement Ballot. Clackamas County Elections opens Official Ballot Drop Sites.
Nov. 7, 2023Election Day. Clackamas Elections will be open 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. Ballots must be postmarked today or received in an Official Ballot Drop Box by 8 p.m. Clackamas County Elections will conduct Public Certification Test of our vote tally system at 9 a.m. Observers are welcome.
Nov. 28, 2023Deadline for Voters' to resolve ballot challenges.

Absentee Voters

If you plan to be away from home during the election please make sure you update your absentee information. Clackamas County Elections mails Absentee ballots earlier to allow additional time to be received and returned.

Once a Measure # is assigned, Measure Arguments can be submitted for inclusion in the Voters' Pamphlet. Arguments can be in favor or opposition to the measure. City Recorders will certify positions by Sept. 7, 2023. The Elections Division will post the list of candidates below upon receipt.

Aug. 18Last day for Special Districts to file Request for Ballot Title with Clackamas County Elections.
Sept. 7Last day for jurisdictions to file Notice of Measure Election for inclusion on the November Ballot.
Sept. 11Voters' Pamphlet Submission Deadline - Last day for candidates to file optional candidate statement / statement of endorsement with Clackamas County Elections. Last Day for voters to submit a measure argument / statement of endorsement for inclusion in County Voters' Pamphlet.
Sept. 15Clackamas County Elections will make Voters' Pamphlet submissions available for public inspection.
