Beginning April 1, 2026 Clackamas County will no longer be accepting emailed permit applications from licensed contractors. All permits will need to be applied for online thru the Development Direct Self-Service Permit system or in person in the office during normal business hours. Online training is available from the permit staff. Email bldservice@clackamas.us for details on the training.

- All Development Engineering permits, including:
- Development Permits
- Entrance Permits (Driveway)
- Right of Way Permits
- Utility Permits
- All Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical and Erosion permits that require a plan review
- Licensed contractor Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical permits that do not require a plan review
- All Septic projects (except operation and maintenance reports)

- Basic Homeowner Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical permits on your own residence or home-based business that do not require plan review

Types of Permits
Inspections
Schedule an inspection for Monday through Friday. All requests must be received before 6 a.m. on the day of the inspection.
